The Garden of the Rule of the Mother of God (Theotokos) prayer book

This prayer book is the convent's first publication!  Learn more about our vision for the convent in this prayer book dedicated to the Theotokos (Virgin Mary).

“There is no request, even the lowliest and most temporal one, that the Mother of God will not fulfill for the glory of Her Son if only we pray to Her for 150 times every day saying: ‘Rejoice! O Virgin Mother of God!’ ” (St. Seraphim Zvezdinsky)

This beautifully printed full-color spiral-bound prayer book presents two versions of The Rule of the Theotokos (Mother of God):

• the traditional rule according to St. Seraphim of Sarov
• an alternative using 15 wonderworking icons and their troparia

Each decade is accompanied by a corresponding icon in full color on the facing page.

Proceeds from the sale of this book go to constructing the Garden of the Rule of the Mother of God at the Convent of St. Mary Magdalene in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Once established, we will welcome pilgrims to pray the Rule with us in Her garden.
